Forresters Beach veteran Bruce Higginbotham was victorious in the over 70 category in the Port Macquarie Half Ironman, in six hours and 25 minutes.
Professional triathlete Chris Dmitrieff finished eighth overall.
The 34-year-old had plenty of work to do playing catch up – he was 27th after the swim; and 15th off the bike; before storming into the top 10 in the run leg.
