BONES FOUND AT PORT MACQUARIE BELIEVED TO BE THOSE OF MISSING FRENCH NATIONAL

Police in Port Macquarie believe bones found at Flynn’s Beach last month are that of missing French National, Erwan Ferrieux.

The 20-year-old disappeared in February, with spear fisherman locating a single bone on June 15. Two more were found at the beach’s southern end days later.

Police divers conducted a major search after the discovery with forensic testing later confirming the bones were that of one person.

While they’re believed to be the remains of Erwan Ferrieux, police say further examination is required.

On Sunday, a single small bone was found at the popular beach and has been sent for forensic testing.
