A couple has been charged after allegedly injuring and neglecting a toddler in the state’s north.
The 39-year-old man and 24-year-old woman were extradited from Queensland to New South Wales today.
It comes after a 23-month-old girl was taken to Maclean Hospital with a catastrophic brain injury.
Police allege the man injured her at a holiday home near Grafton and didn’t seek medical attention for three days.
He’s been refused bail while the woman is assisting police with their inquiries.
