WATER, EDUCATION ON AGENDA AS COAST CAMPAIGN CONTINUES

Tuggerah Lakes’ water quality was back on the political agenda on Friday.

The Liberal Party promising to match a $4.7 million Labor pledge to install pollutant traps, among other measures.

For the opposition, education was the focus of the day.

It committed $1.3 million for the University of Newcastle to enhance its food science course and reach out to Central Coast high school students about further study.
