GREENS DEMAND NSW GOVERNMENT PROTECT COASTLINE

The Greens are demanding the Berejiklian Government do more to oppose gas exploration and extraction off the Hunter’s coastline, before the March state election.

It comes after mining company MEC resources informed investors, that recent 2D seismic surveys in the area were promising.

Greens MP Justin Field says any further testing or drilling poses “an unacceptable risk to marine wildlife”.
