FIRE PERMITS SUSPENDED IN PARTS OF THE MID NORTH COAST

With high temperatures and strong winds forecast over the coming weeks, the New South Wales Rural Fire Service is suspending all fire permits in the Port Macquarie-Hastings and Manning Great Lakes regions.

Temperatures are expected to soar into the high 30s and with no significant rain forecast, the suspension will remain in place until conditions improve.

Permits may still be issued in the Gloucester region, at the discretion of officers.
