Central Coast surfer Adrian Buchan has marked himself as a genuine contender for the men’s title at Surfest, following two nine point rides this afternoon.
The women’s event is set to wrap up tomorrow, with two of the world’s best on course to meet in the final.

Mitchell Hughes started as a tape editor in Newcastle in 1999. He became a reporter in 2004, working in Lismore and on the Gold Coast.
