BOMB SQUAD CALLED IN AFTER EXPLOSIVES FOUND ON THE FAR NORTH COAST

The bomb squad were called in to assist police after explosives were uncovered at a property near Kyogle.

The property’s owner alerted police after making the find on an old bus on Wednesday night.

90 detonators, a trigger blaster, 73 sticks of packaged explosives, a shot gun and ammunition were all recovered.

Police applauded the Northern Rivers man for not touching the explosives but instead calling police.
