CONTROVERSIAL SUPER NETBALL LOSS FOR GIANTS

The Giants remain in second spot on the Super Netball ladder after a controversial loss to West Coast Fever.

It was a top of the table clash, but it was all smiles from Sam Poolman before the buzzer.

Friends quickly became foes, as the in-form teams set a furious pace.

Fever took a three-goal lead into the third quarter, but the Giants fought back before a controversial final quarter.

Centre Serena Guthrie was forced off court to fix a bleeding knee, but in extraordinary scenes she was left on the sidelines, leaving GWS short a player for three minutes.

It proved costly too – as the Fever went on to win the match 63-61.
