LUCKY ESCAPE AS BOAT FLIPS ON RICHMOND RIVER

There was a lucky escape for three people this morning, when their small boat flipped on the Richmond River.

Emergency services, including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, were called to the scene at around 3:30, after reports a small boat had overturned.

The helicopter was able to locate the upturned vessel, with the local Jet Boat Rescue crew plucking the trio from the water.

There were no reports of injury.
