TRUCK ROLLS IN COOLONGOLOOK

The driver of a B-double truck has miraculously walked away uninjured after rolling the vehicle on the M1 Southbound near Coolongolook this morning.

It’s alleged the man fell asleep at the wheel, before veering off the road.

Police say he over corrected himself, sending his back carriage toppling over.

Another truck then collided with the wreck – it’s driver was also uninjured.

Traffic was diverted as the RMS worked to hoist the truck from the motorway.

  1. RE the truck collision at Coolongolook.
Please familiarise yourselves with the correct terminology when reporting on any matter. The vehicle that ran off the road was a B-Double truck and not a train. A B-Double has two trailers, ie. an A trailer at the front and a B trailer at the rear. To refer to it as a “back carriage” just adds to the unprofessionalism of NBN News which is displayed on most nights.
