A man will face court next month after allegedly using money donated to the SES for his personal use.
Police have been investigating alleged fraud offences where donations to the Barraba SES were misappropriated since January last year. The donations total $25,000.
It’s alleged donations made to the unit were obtained by the SES controller and used for private purposes.
The 63-year-old who’s been suspended by the SES, is facing more than 60 charges, including making a false statement to obtain money and dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception.
He’ll face Tamworth Local Court in May.
