ELDERLY DRIVER DIES AFTER CENTRAL COAST CAR CRASH LAST MONTH

A car crash on the Central Coast last month has ended with the death of a woman in hospital on Friday.

Shortly before midday on Friday 23 September, a Hyundai Santa Fe and Toyota Yaris on Terrigal Drive were involved in a crash in Terrigal.

The 91-year-old female driver of the Yaris, was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital suffering chest injuries, but she died on Friday.

The two people travelling in the Hyundai, a 70-year-old man and a 74-year-old woman, were also hospitalised but have since been released.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward, while a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
