LARGE BUSHFIRE BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL
A fire which has torn its way through more than 7,000 hectares of the Barcoongere State Forest since Friday morning, has been brought under control.
Campers at Stoney Bridge were asked to evacuate the area early, with fears the flames may reach the area.
Visitors at Pebbly Beach, around 50 kilometres north of Coffs Harbour were also asked to leave by 230 on Saturday morning.
New South Wales Parks and Wildlife, Forestry Corporation and the RFS have been battling the blaze.
