A fisherman has been winched off rocks at Birubi Point, north of Newcastle.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to the scene around 2pm, after the 78-year-old fell and broke his leg at a difficult location to access for emergency teams.
The man was flown to John Hunter Hospital where he’s said to be in a stable condition.
