The state opposition says it fears less popular, yet vital transport routes could be scrapped under the Baird Government’s plans to privatise Newcastle’s public transport.
Shadow Transport Minister Ryan Park joined Newcastle MP Tim Crakanthorp today to campaign against the move.
It comes despite an Audit New South Wales report showing the punctuality of state transit services in Sydney, is worse than private operators.
Labor also wants the government to release the light rail business case, and latest expert review.
