Police are appealing for public assistance to locate the driver of a silver holden Commodore that ploughed into a tree in Goonellebah on Saturday night.
It’s believed the driver lost control on Ballina Road, and fled the scene before police arrived.
Inspector Nicole Bruce said, “at this stage the driver is still unaccounted for and we’re seeking public assistance”.
“If anyone saw the silver commodore driving around the area and know the driver, please contact Lismore police”
Police do not believe the vehicle was stolen, and say the driver is likely to have significant injuries.
