What a difference a week makes!
Today’s clear skies and warm temperatures felt more like Autumn than mid-winter, but the breeze was still a little chilly.
Unfortunately the heat won’t linger long, with a cold blast returning next week.
Newcastle hit 20 degrees today and parts of the north coast are expected to reach the mid 20s – a real treat after all the wet, cold conditions.
Nice weather for boating and small, clean waves for surfers thanks to the westerly winds.
Today and tomorrow, Sydney is on track to have its warmest weekend since the start of June, with maximum temperatures reaching 20 degrees.
Cold mornings will return from Monday and mostly sunny skies will continue into next week. The Upper Hunter will dip back to minus-2 by mid next week in the morning.
