GRAHAM MURRAY REMEMBERED AS TRUE GENTLEMAN OF THE GAME

Former Blues coach Graham Murray is being remembered as a true gentleman of the game, after losing his battle with heart disease in Brisbane yesterday.

During his time with Super League’s Hunter Mariners, he gave the likes of halfback, Brett Kimmorley, a start.
“Obviously just a lovely fella, with enormous people skills, I think that’s part of the real reason why he was successful as a coach was his people skills.”

Murray took two teams to NRL grand finals, and also served as the Knights’ first High Performance Unit Director.

“He spent time with local teams, school teams, got on well with players and parents as well. He had a huge impression on our club during his short time here.” said Knights CEO Matt Gidley.

Graham Murray was 58.
