Merewether surfer Philippa Anderson has made a winning start to her campaign at the World Surfing Games in Central America.
Taking on opponents from Mexico and Scotland, the young Aussie was always in control of her opening heat.
Anderson eventually finished with a pair of sevens to advance to round two.
