Over the past fortnight, Northern Rivers Wires volunteers have been inundated with calls, to help rescue injured Echidnas.
They’re urging motorists to be on the lookout for the creatures, and warn more will become active as the weather continues to cool down.
Anyone who comes across an injured animal should call WIRES.
