Police have released incredible security-camera vision…
showing an armed man’s fumbled attempt to rob an Ashmore B-P around one-am yesterday.
Dressed in a black hoodie, he lunges at the store attendant with a large knife, before turning a blow-torch on the till, appearing to burn his hand.
“It would have been a terrifying experience. The attendant made good use of the secured area and put space between himself and the offender. But certainly the offender did use an extreme amount of violence.”
Anyone who saw the blow-torch bandit around Cotlew Street and Currumburra Road should contact Crime Stoppers.
