Gloucester Mayor John Rosenbaum will put forward a notice of motion to stop dialogue with AGL at next Wednesday’s council meeting.
Councillor Rosenbaum has voiced his disappointment in the lack of transparency on their projects.
It comes after the mining giant was forced to suspend CSG drilling at its Waukivory site, when traces of the toxic BTEX chemical was found in water samples last month.
AGL has now lodged a submission to the Environmental Planning Association requesting the implementation of a device known as an extraction gadget to remove the toxic chemical.
