A man has allegedly assaulted his partner with a car jack, before dousing him with petrol in Port Macquarie on the mid north coast overnight.
The incident happened at a home on Church Street around one o’clock this morning.
A 51-year-old man has been taken to Port Macquarie Hospital for treatment, while a 46-year-old man has been charged.
He’s expected to face Port Macquarie Local Court today.
