A man has been charged with the ongoing abuse and grooming of two children in Ballina.
The Child Abuse Squad at Ballina started investigating last week into the suspected abuse of two siblings, a boy and a girl aged under 14.
Police allege the children had been indecently assaulted, sexually abused and groomed several times between late 2012 and late 2013.
A 44-year-old man was last night arrested and faces a string of charges including indecent assault of a person under 16 years of age, and using a child under 14 to make child abuse material.
Police also seized a mobile phone with an image depicting child abuse material.
The man was refused bail to appear at Tweed Heads Local Court today.
