A 5-year-old boy boy remains in a critical condition after his head became wedged in a car window in the upper Hunter yesterday.
At about 4.45pm the boy’s mother left her home at Willow Tree and visited a relative living on the same property.
Approximately five minutes later she could not locate her son who had been watching television.
A short time later the woman found the boy unconscious in the carport of the home where it appears the boy has attempted to climb to a vehicle through a partially opened passenger side window.
The mother released the boy and paramedics arrived a short time later.
The boy was later flown to John Hunter Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
