A 29-year-old Tamworth woman has been charged with assaulting police, two counts of intimidation and shop lifting, after an incident at Target yesterday.
At midday, it’s alleged the woman tried to leave the store without paying for a number of items.
When approached by staff, she allegedly made several threats before assaulting an off duty police officer, who intervened.
The woman was released on conditional bail and will reappear before Tamworth local court later this month.
