More than 40 Narrabri residents filled the local council chambers today to voice their concerns over Santos’ plans to build a coal seam gas drilling fluid facility at its Narrabri plant.
Despite attracting more than 400 public submissions, council approved the proposal today.
A cement bulk storage plant will also be built, to support the coal seam gas giant’s future operations in the Pilliga Forest.
