Nelson Bay AFL product and Sydney Swan Craig Bird will head south over the summer, to join Essendon.
Bird goes to Essendon as part of a three way trade. The Bombers secured pick 5 in the draft and Craig Bird, after trading away midfielder Jake Carlisle to St Kilda.
Craig Bird has played 137 career games for the Swans since joining in 2007 but managed just six games in 2015.
