Enigmatic to the end, Jared Brennan has quietly called it quits at the Gold Coast Suns.
No fanfare. No fuss.
He simply slipped away on an overseas holiday this morning, after informing club officials he had “lost his passion and hunger for the game.”
“We all know that at the elite level you need to have your mind body and soul commited to the cause and he just doesn’t have that anymore wants to think about some career post footy so I think from his point of view he was ready to move on and as a club we will miss him but I guess we have to move on as well.”
Brennan finishes on 173 senior games – 119 for the Lions – 54 for the Suns.
