HARTSUYKER PROMISES FUNDING FOR LIFE SAVING
Mid north coast surf life saving clubs will receive a financial boost if Tony Abbott wins government after next month’s federal election.
The coalition is promising $15-million Australia wide to go to peak water safety agencies.
Local surf clubs will receive $5,000 a year for the next five years to purchase rescue apparatus, first aid and medical supplies.
“So a focus on coastal areas with the funding on surf life life saving clubs, a focus on identifying inland black spots for drowning and a focus of swimming lessons in those areas,” Mr Hartsuyker said.
He’s also promising almost a million dollars for drainage work and the upgrade of netball courts at Wherrett Park in Maclean.
