PROJECT TAMPLIN HONOURS TOP COP

The New South Wales Police Minister Mike Gallacher, and Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione today announced that potentially life saving defibrillators will be supplied to every local area command across NSW.

80 stations will be equipped with the units which use electric shock therapy to resuscitate victims of sudden cardiac arrest.

The initiative has been called Project Tamplin in honour of much loved Newcastle Senior Constable Tony Tamplin who died suddenly in May 2013.

  5. This is fantastic news! I knew Tony back in the 80’s, and I always loved his company and admired his dedication and care! I couldn’t think of a more fitting way to honour a man who gave so much of himself to others!!
