WEATHER UPDATE: A WEEK CHANGE

One of the reasons that is has been so warm this July is because of the lack of strong southerly fronts.

Another weak one is slowly moving across the region tonight producing a small batch of showers which have also been flaring up ahead of the change across the northern NSW ranges and SE QLD.

Over the next 24 hours an offshore east coast low is going to form this will help strengthen those southerly winds along the coastal fringe while producing a new swell.

The system will move away form the coast quickly so the coastal shower activity will clear during Thursday making way for a fine mostly sunny run for the entire region with some cooler air moving in on the weekend.
