WEATHER UPDATE: SPRING-LIKE WARMTH

The next couple of days are going to be unseasonably warm. A classic set up has formed with a slow moving high over the Tasman and a deepening low moving into the bight working together to generate a substantial NW airflow. Those winds will tap into a build up of warm air over Central Australia thanks to lots of sunshine and very little frontal activity, none strong enough to clear the heat over the past couple of weeks.

Temperatures will be above average before the cloud and rain moves in on Friday. This next system will be strong enough to deliver widespread rain across the entire region with the cold air to follow across the weekend plunging ups back into the depths of Winter.
