Terrigal Avoca have retained top spot on the Black Diamond AFL ladder, after claiming bragging rights in their Central Coast derby with Killarney Vale.
Despite holding the lead at every quarter, the Panthers struggled to shake a determined Bombers outfit, desperate to stay in the finals hunt.
Only ten points separated the sides at the final change, however the defending premiers were able to kick away in the final term to eventually run out 22-point winners.
