A Newcastle man was lucky to escape injury when a brick was thrown at his car at Mayfield West early this morning.
It was one of several such incidents along Industrial Drive, and police want to track down the culprits before someone is seriously hurt.

On Wednesday 12th June 2013 at 3:30am, a brick was thrown at a passing Linfox vehicle on Maitland Road in Mayfield West NSW.
An hour or so later, a passing motorist was struck by a brick in the exact same location (the above article). The Police attended both incidents, where reports were given.
This has occurred on more than 4 separate occasions in the past couple of weeks. Police have made no attempts at searching nearby bush land.
NBN asked both for an interview, the Linfox driver declined – as it is against company policy.
