PARAGLIDER CRASHES, AIRLIFTED TO HOSPITAL

A 43-year-old man was flown to John Hunter Hospital this afternoon by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, after a paragliding accident at Mount Bora near Manilla in the state’s north west.

The pilot crashed into a windsock pole while attempting to land on top of the mountain.

He suffered pelvic injuries and is in a stable condition.
