A man has been killed during an altercation in Cessnock early this morning.
Police believe the 21-year-old man was stabbed during an argument with another man.
Just before 3am a member of the public alerted police that a man had collapsed at the intersection of Wollombi Road and Annandale Road.
He was taken to Cessnock Hospital but he could not be revived.
Police have established a crime scene and several traffic diversions are in
place.
Motorists are advised to avoid Wollombi Road at the intersections of Allandale Road
and Vincent Street or delay their trip.
