Language can be powerful tools- I note industry & Gov’t refer to what was once an ‘application for approval process’ as simply ‘the approval process’ ie it is a given assumption that they will be approved- surely this is indicative & makes rather a mockery of so called rigorous & independent scientific testing & the obtaining of community social licences doesn’t it?
Similarly labelling the community & public as Activists & Protestors really in my humble view serves to alienate those who are endeavouring to alert their neighbours friend & family about the hazards, corruption collusion & failed accountability duty of care that we & our local environs face. How much before we can claim self defence, I wonder?
