Two men are lucky to have escaped injury after a cherry picker they were in partially toppled in Newcastle this morning.
At about midday today the fire brigade rescued the men who were trapped in the cherry picker’s cage for about 15 minutes.
The cherry picker shifted after hitting a ditch in the footpath on the corner of King and Watt Street.
Crews are still working to remove the cherry picker.
