A 50-year-old man who was left with serious injuries after being assaulted over the weekend in Coffs Harbour has died in hospital.
Police say the man was approached by three people behind his home on Saturday just before 5 o’clock, when they became involved in an argument that turned violent.
Police allege they were armed with a metal bar and piece of wood and assaulted the man before running away from the scene.
The man died from his injuries in John Hunter Hospital yesterday afternoon.
Officers have arrested a 49-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man over the incident and want to speak to another man described as being about 25 years of age, of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, wearing a dark hooded jumper, jeans and black sunglasses at the time.
