A woman has been flown to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital after a serious road crash near Scone in the Upper Hunter.
A Land Rover Discovery and a Rav 4 collided on the Gundy Road, 18 kilometres east of Scone, just after 12.30.
The driver of the Land Rover, a man from Ellerston was treated for minor injuries at Scone Hospital.
A 51-year-old woman from Gundy, suffered serious injuries.
The road was closed for several hours as police investigated the circumstances of the crash.
