A man and woman have been arrested and charged with a string of drug and firearm offences, after police raided several properties in the Hunter.
Police have been investigating the supply of drugs in Kurri Kurri since February and yesterday morning conducted search warrants on two properties in Kurri Krurri and Pelaw Main.
Police allegedly seized three firearms, cash and quantities of crystal methamphetamine and heroin.
A 50-year-old Kurri Kurri woman and a 22-year-old Pelaw Main man were taken into custody.
The woman has been charged with 21 offences including possessing an unauthorised prohibited firearm, supplying prohibited drugs and possessing a prohibited drug.
She’s been refused bail to appear in Maitland Local Court today.
The man was charged with several offences including supplying prohibited drugs, possessing prohibited drugs and possessing a firearm without authority.
