Telstra executives have confirmed the company will close its Goonellabah call centre operation at the end of October – cutting 116 jobs.
Workers were told the company planned to shut down the facility three weeks ago due to a decline in call numbers.
An information session to assist those affected by the closure will be held at the call centre from 11 o’clock tomorrow.
