WOMAN DIES IN MAYFIELD CAR ACCIDENT


A woman has died after her car left the road and hit a power pole in Mayfield overnight.

At around 9:30 the 51-year-old woman, driving a Mitsubishi Lancer, was clipped by a Commodore travelling in the same direction on Industrial Drive.

She left the road and hit the power pole.

The woman died at the scene and the male driver of the Commodore was taken to John Hunter Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.

  2. Kayleen, I feel sorry for you and your family.
    I was in the hotel opposite the accident scene and although I did not see the accident happen, I saw what happened after the accident. It is such a tragedy and from what I understand such a needless tragedy.
