ANNE GILBY VICTIM OF DAIRYVILLE HIT AND RUN

Police have released the name of a woman who died in a hit and run accident near Coffs Harbour on Monday morning. 

53 year old Anne Gilby was walking along Dairyville Road at around 6.30, when she was struck by a passing motorist.

Police are still questioning a 27-year old woman who is believed to have been behind the wheel.

  1. I think justice should be done to this driver. I also think that her driving licence should be suspended permanently because she is a dangerous driver. I feel sorry tor this woman because the nightmare of the crime that she had committed will never left her mind.

    Anne was my colleague. She was the most dearest and kindness person I ever worked with. If that accident was the other way around, Anne would have stopped and gave life that’s how nurses are trained for. What a terrible things to do to a helpless victim by this driver..

  2. Why do you air these stories with no follow up – or at least any I have seen. What is happening – can I let my children out to play? Has someone been brought to justice? Did she really die by bleeding out that could have been averted, what happened to the dog, who was the woman in the silver car that was stopped when she was on the side of the road?? Rumours rumours rumours – small community – small news, BIG CARE!!!
