The Newcastle Jets have released defender and former Socceroo Nikolai Topor-Stanley after he was offered to play with another Club.
The Jets say the agreement was mutual and was in his best interest to take the opportunity.
Topor-Stanley had signed a two year deal with the club in February last year.
It has not been revealed which club they have made the agreement with an announcement expected in the next few days.
Jets CEO Robbie Middleby says the opportunity gives him longevity, “He is a good footballer and this is a wonderful opportunity for Nikolai to continue his career at another club.”
