The reserve bank has decided to cut interest rates by another quarter of a percent.
The latest drop takes the cash rate to 3.5 per cent.
The cut follows a 0.5 per cent reduction in May which was the largest cut since February 2009.
The Newcastle Permanent has placed its interest rates under review following the decision.
