Newcastle Permanent Building Society has reduced its standard variable home loan rate by 0.30% following the Reserve Bank’s decision last week to lower the official mark by 0.50%.
The bank’s standard variable rate now sits at 6.66% per annum.
Customers with a $300,000 mortgage will save $56 a month, or $672 a year.
