Kyogle is officially the state’s cleanest town after taking out the 2011 Keep Australia Beautiful Tidy Towns award.
The gong is a culmination of three years work by council workers, the tidy towns committee and the community to beautify the shire.
” we’re hoping to meet with the tidy towns and chamber commerce and use this as advertising for the town, and to bring as many people as we can ”
The award means Kyogle is now in the running for the national title which will be decided next year.
